As per official notification, The Intelligence Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs is going to recruit various vacancies of ACIO Posts. Huge number of candidates have submitted their application form for the same. Now they all are preparing for their written examination. The Examination Authority will conduct written examination first and then personal interview will be held. Thus it as mandatory to pass written examination to get a govt job as Assistant Central Intelligence Officer. MHA IB Department will select suitable candidates for Assistant Central Intelligence Officer post by conducting written examination and interview. Here we are providing complete details of IB ACIO Exam pattern. Total 100 question will be asked in IB ACIO Exam and time duration will be 100 Minutes. Details of Exam pattern are given below.
The Exam pattern will consist of two Papers:
- Paper I (Objective Type)
- Paper II (Descriptive type on English Language only)

Paper-II: Paper 2nd or Descriptive Tests will be of 50 marks. You have to write any one question out of three. Both paper I and Paper II are conducted simultaneously.

General English: This section will comprise question form Basics Rules of English Grammar, Spotting the errors, Vocabulary, Sentence Structure, Synonyms & Antonyms, Fill in the blanks and Reading Comprehension etc.
General Awareness: In this section question will be asked form Appointments, Budget and Five Year Plans, Current Affairs (National and International), International and National Organisations, Sports News, Books and Authors, Awards and Honors, Science: Inventions and Discoveries, Abbreviations, Important Days and Dates etc. Syllabus of this portion is very vast. Therefore candidates should read all current event carefully as it will cover most of this section.
Arithmetic Ability : In this section question will be asked from Number System, HCF & LCM, Simplification, Fractions, Ratio & proportions, Percentage, Time & Distance, Time & Work, Profit & loss, Average, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration (2D & 3D), Algebra, Trigonometary, Data Interpretation. The candidates are suggested to practice a lot for this section.
General Intelligence: This section will cover logical reasoning from the topic Number Series, Alphabet Series, Coding-Decoding, Arithmetical Reasoning, Problem on Ages, Blood Relations, Decision Making, Mirror Images etc. This section will be easy but you also need to cover all the topics.
