SSC conducts MTS Exam to recruit personnel for the Group ‘C’ posts of MTS NT in various Central Government Ministries/Departments/Offices, in different States/Union Territories. The candidates who have passed 10th class from a recognized board are eligible to apply for SSC MTS Recruitment. Therefore, the vacancy-aspirant ratio for MTS Recruitment is approximately 25:1. Pay Band : The salary structure of Multi-Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) in Pay Band-1 (Rs.5200- Rs.20200/-) + Grade Pay Rs.1800/-
Nature of Work :
The applicant who are selected through SSC MTS Recruitment, those have to work in various Central Government Ministries/Departments/Offices, in different States/Union Territories. The details of nature of work are mentioned below. The superior Authority may add few other duties of similar nature.
- Carrying of files & other papers within the building.
- Photocopying, sending of FAX
- Physical Maintenance of records of the Section.
- General cleanliness & upkeep of the Section.
- Non-clerical work in the Section/Unit.
- Assisting in routine office work on computer
- Opening & closing of rooms.
- Cleaning of rooms.
- Dusting of furniture
- Assisting in routine office work in diary
- Delivering of dak (outside the building).
- Watch & ward duties.
- Cleaning of building, fixtures
- Driving of vehicles, if in possession of valid driving license.
- Any other work assigned by the superior authority.

SSC MTS promotion Procedure Details :
SSC MTS is a group ‘C’ Cadre position that was created as per 6th CPC recommendation. There are two types of increments provided under Pay Band-I scheme, i.e. Annual increments and Promotional increments. Annual increments are to be paid at the rate of 3% of the total pay in the Pay Band and the corresponding Grade Pay. The Staff Selection Commission also conducts departmental examination in order to promote employees in the government offices of various ministries.
