Mission of PMAY Housing Sche

Main objective of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana are

To Provide affordable homes with water connection, toilet facilities, 24×7 electricity supply.
2 crore houses to be built across nation under this scheme.
House will be provieded to Lower Income Groups (LIG) and Economically Weaker Section (urban poor by the year 2022) of our society (EWS),
2 million non-slum urban poor households will be benefited under this scheme.

PMAY Targeted Group

Under this scheme Indian women of all religions and castes are equally eligible no biased treatment on basis of caste or religion. People who come from low income and economically weaker sections of the society, SC, ST are also eligible for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

Features Of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2017-2018

Here we are providing some features of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana ( PMAY) 2017-2018.

On the basis of this scheme, preference will be given to females applicants for house allotments.
Ground floor of the houses will give preference to physically differently abled or to senior citizens.
Subsidy range anywhere between Rs. 1 lakh and 2.30 lakh to LIG and EWS section of urban population.
4% less rate of interest from the market value on loans
6.5% interest rate to the beneficiaries for their availed loans.

Phases of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna(PMAY)

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will be implemented in three phase which are discussed below.

PMAY Phase 1 (April 2015 to March 2017): Total 100 cities that must be completed during this phase.
PMAY Phase 2 (April 2017 to March 2019): Development of total number of 200 more cities will be covered.
PMAY Phase 3 (April 2019 to March 2022) All the remaining cities of India will be completed.
